What is AI Agent?

Software that does work on its own with real access, such as a Copilot or Gemini agent that reads mail, files or the directory and acts on them.

An AI assistant answers questions. An AI agent takes actions: it sends the email, moves the file, updates the record. That makes it useful, and it makes it something to secure.

An agent needs the same care as a person with that access: an owner, limits sized to its job, a record of what it does and a fast way to switch it off. Agents can also be tricked by instructions hidden in the content they read.

How Centeye handles it

Centeye Synthwatch (early access) gives every AI agent an identity, an owner and an off switch.
